'Chrysalis' for marimba, harp, string quartet, and optional percussion
Prices are in Australian Dollar (AUD).
The chrysalis is the transitional state in which a caterpillar becomes a butterfly. It is the giving way of the old for the new; the metamorphosis into something bigger and beyond; something more beautiful.
This work was commissioned by the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and the Minderoo Foundation, and is a celebration of the university’s new era as it relocates its campus. It is such an honour to be commissioned by my old stomping ground for such a historical event in the arts culture of Western Australia.
The piece is scored for 5 octave marimba, harp, string quartet, and optional light percussion (suspended cymbal, mark tree). Purchasing this score includes both the full score and individual parts for all instruments.
